GRAND PRIX SERIES RULES

Individual tournaments and entry fees are under the control of each Tournament Director, but the following guidelines apply to all events in the Series.

1. Each event offers at least 12 divisions - men’s, women’s and mixed doubles at 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5.

2. Doubles teams shall participate in the division at the level of the highest rated player in the team.

3. Individual players may participate in a maximum of two events, one of which shall be mixed doubles.

4. Matches shall be a full 3 sets or 2 sets plus a 10-point tiebreaker. Regular scoring is used for all full sets.

5. Tournament Directors may default teams who are not ready to play at the appointed time for their match.

6. Points are garnered at each event for each division as follows:
             Participation25 points
             Reach the round of 16      35 points
             Reach the quarterfinals   50 points
      Reach the semi-finals      75 points
      Reach the finals      100 points
      Winners     125 points

7. The top four point earners will be invited to the Grand Finals. Invited players may play two events with any partner that has participated in at least one GP Series event in that division, and in that  calendar year. If top points earners elect to play with each other, the fifth/sixth highest points earner will be invited to play in the finals.

8. Each division at the Grand Finals will comprise 2 semifinals and one final. All winners and  runner-ups will receive prizes. There shall be no charge to participate in the Grand Finals.

9. There shall be no whining – ever – whatsoever!
