Welcome to the 2012 Bank of Marin Grand Prix Tennis Series! We are excited to announce a five year Sponsorship agreement with the Bank of Marin. In addition, Clif Bar & Company, Pacific Sun, Brad Gilbert's Tennis Nation, and Par Excellence (formerly Link Works), have also agreed to be Sponsors for 2012. We thank them as without our Sponsors we could not run this organization.
The philosophy of the Marin Grand Prix is to be able to offer an opportunity for local tennis players to have a well run, organized circuit of local tennis tournaments in our community that will allow all Marin County players to engage in fun, social, reasonably priced competitive play without having to travel very far.
The Marin Grand Prix is a series of six tournaments spread out over the year. Play is all doubles, men's, women's, and mixed and each tournament is held over one weekend that usually includes Friday evening play.
While competitive in nature, the Series is also about bringing players from throughout Marin, and other nearby Counties, together for fun socializing, good food and drink, and tennis comraderie.
Divisions of play for the Grand Prix are: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5. Some tournaments might also offer other divisions of play that are separate from the Grand Prix.
For each tournament you participate in, you will earn points for every match won and those points will accumulate throughout the season. At the end of the regular season, the top players, in each division, will receive valuable prizes.
